Problem Statement
Why This Project Existed
The previous website faced several usability challenges that made it difficult for students and visitors to find important information.
Some of the key issues included:
• Complex navigation with too many scattered links
• Academic programs and departments were difficult to discover
• Information hierarchy lacked clarity
• Pages contained dense content blocks that were hard to scan
• Inconsistent design patterns across sections
• Lack of a clear path for prospective students exploring programs or admissions

The Transition
From the old website to new

Design Strategy
Creating clarity through structured design
To address the navigation challenges, the redesign focused on three core design principles:
Clear Information Architecture

Structured Academic Navigation

Student-Focused Navigation Flow

Analytics-Driven Trust Design

Design Process
Turning insights into design solutions
To address the navigation challenges, the redesign focused on three core design principles:
1
Research
Studied the existing website to identify usability issues, navigation problems, and content structure gaps.
2
Information Architecture
Mapped the academic ecosystem and created a simplified site structure.
3
Wireframing
Designed low-fidelity layouts to define page hierarchy and navigation flow.
4
UI Design
Developed a clean and modern interface with consistent design patterns.
5
Responsive Design
Ensured the website works seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Visual Design System
Building consistent visual components
A modern design system was created to maintain visual consistency across the website.

Reusable Components
The design system included reusable UI components such as:
• Navigation menus
• Program cards
• Department listings
• Faculty profiles
• Admission call-to-action sections
• Event and news cards
This allowed the website to scale efficiently as the university grows.
